Cooper Design Space | Los Angeles

Silver Sun Supernova is a site-specific installation made of hand-cut paper, acrylic paint, glitter, video projection, and audio. This multifaceted work reshapes Cooper Design Space’s classic lobby into a fantastical, otherworldly environment. The artist hopes to engage the public’s sense of wonder by providing this unexpected and transformative experience.

Chris Natrop, considered a cut paper installation artist, creates his work freeform and exclusively with a knife. His cut paper drawings are applied as framed works or utilized within three-dimensional installations. Past projects can be seen worldwide in museums, galleries, and various other public spaces. Natrop works out of the Bendix Artist Studios in downtown Los Angeles.
